I wasn't born an artist, in fact in school I always saw other friends as the 'artsy' ones. But art was always my safe space because when I'm creating I'm present, I get out of my head and it's million thoughts and anxieties and I'm focused on what I'm creating.
I am a recovering perfectionist, first-born daughter who is a recovering people-pleaser, my head gets full pretty quickly. The peacefulness of watercolours, using water which is an inherently calming element, is where my mind quietens and it's why I kept coming back to this medium time and again after I first picked them up in 2017.
